If for some reason,you’ve received a payment that’s larger than your invoice amount, it’s ok. When you record that payment for an invoice, Yardbook will apply the payment to that invoice, and automatically generate a credit for the portion of the payment that’s greater than the invoice balance.
So for example, if your invoice is for $100, and the customer made a payment for $120. A credit for $20 will be automatically added to the customer’s account. You can apply this amount to another invoice in the future.
